Music
At St Mary’s Church of England Primary, we believe music is an important part of school life and helps children develop confidence, creativity and a sense of belonging. Through weekly lessons and regular opportunities to sing, listen and perform, pupils learn musical skills such as rhythm, pitch and teamwork, while also building language and concentration.
We are fortunate to have peripatetic music teachers come into school to teach individual music lessons, paid for by parents. We also have Rock Steady who run lessons in school where children join a band and learn to play instruments together. Please speak to the school office to find out about availability for these.
