At St Mary's the Full Governing Board comprises nine places. These are made up of members from different catagories:
Two Staff Governors (including the Headteacher)
Two Parent Governors
Two Foundation (Church Appointed) Governors (including Ex-Officio)
Two Co-opted Governors
One Local Authority Governor
The school currently has a vacancy for one Co-opted Governor.
The Governor committees consist of:
Resources Committee - This deals with all finance and human resouces matters.
Curriculum and Pupil Matters Committee - This incorporates school improvement work.
As Governors, we believe that it is our purpose to work alongside the school staff to produce the ideal environment to enable the pupils to achieve their full potential. We believe the most important role of the school is to produce well rounded individuals who are entirely prepared to go onto the next stage of their education.
We would like to assure you that the Governing Body will do everything possible to help each and every pupil develop.
